Zutaten

  • 1 kg Chuck steak
  • 3 Onions
  • 1 Clove garlic
  • 3 Rashers bacon
  • 2 EL Flour
  • 1 Essl Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 TL Sugar
  • 2 EL Tomato sauce or purree
  • 2 EL Vinegar
  • 1/2 Tasse Stock

  • Cut steak into 2.5 cm squares, coat with mixture of combined sugar and flour. Line ovenproof dish with 2 of the peeled and sliced onions, sprinkle with finely chapped garlic. Place meat on top, pour sauces, vinegar and stock over. Let stand several hours. Top with bacon strips (rind removed) and remaining onion cut onto rings. Season with salt and pepper. Cover, bake in moderate oven 1.5 - 2 hours. Remove cover for last 20minutes to crisp bacon and onion topping.
